Please meet Shahama Taifour, one of our 2021 Sock it to Sarcoma! PhD scholarship holders, researching into Ewing’s Sarcoma. Shahama says: I am a community pharmacist and I completed an MSc in Biomedical Science. During my work, I have seen people suffering badly from cancers including sarcomas. This has inspired me to pursue a research career to discover innovative cancer therapeutics. My PhD research project investigates a novel treatment for Ewing sarcoma using epigenetic editing tool to improve the patient’s survival and quality of life.”
